3 Fun Facts About New Zealand. Link to the Site.

Fun Fact One: Gisborne is the first city in the world to see a new day, because they are 496.3 kilometres away from the International Date Line.

Fun Fact Two: To offically become a New Zealand citizen, you must swear an oath of loyalty to Queen Elizabeth.

Fun Fact Three: The largest city in New Zealand is Auckland, although Wellington is its capital.

My Goals this year.

About Ottawa.

Hey people, I just finished my slide about Ottawa, that's in Canada. I had to do facts about Ottawa, like the capital of Canada, and where it's located. Then we had to do Top Tips for staying safe on a plane, and finally we did a list of what we should pack. Here's my slide. Hope you enjoy!

Ngakaunui's Favorite Sport.

Today my class did a pictogram, (picture graph) for Statistics. It was about Ngakaunui's Favorite Sport, and we did one before that called Cats or Dogs? and it felt harder for some reason. But here is my picture graph.

Yesterday I finished my goal setting google drawing, and we got to decorate it a lot. Some people did plain colors, and some people gilttery or galaxy backgrounds. This is my one.

My Stage 7 Prototec.

Today I did a Stage 7 Prototec and am really proud of myself of doing so well considering I'm a year 5 and I got 85% percent, in 9m 59s. My teacher told us how to do the trickier parts, and then they were super easy. Here are my results.

Reflection of Maths.

In maths this Term we did a varity of different math related problems and other things. We did specfic week problems, and there were digital pdf sheets we had to do in our math books. This weeks pdf sheets were named Trying Times and Lookalike. My maths group name is Divide, and this is our picture. There are still alot of things I haven't put in here because it's hard to remember everything. That was just a warning that not all things are on here.

Picture Tesselation.

Today we did MORE Tessellation, this time we had to test which shapes Tessellate and don't Tessellate. But in the end, we did pictures in the shapes we Tessellated. Addison and Courtney did flowers, and Shyla did Harry Potter. I did diamonds against the night sky. I think it's pretty.

Triangle Tessellation.

Today we were doing something involving Tessellation for our math. The meaning of Tessellation is where you can make shape interlock without having any gaps inbetween. Here is the one I did, but I wasted a bit of time finding my chromebook, so the triangles are going to be bigger than most others.

Acrostic Poems.

Today my class have been doing Acrostic poems. I did one for my friend Riley, she was nervous about this going on my blog, but too bad for her. (I am not trying to be mean.) But here is my Acrostic poem!

Friendship Cheesecake.

Today I was finising off my Friendship Cheesecake recipe. I did a animation about this recipe, and I hope you will like it.

Symmetry

Today I have been finishing my google drawing on symmetry, and have lots of pictures to show symmetrical stuff and asymmetrical stuff. What symmetry is: Symmetry is where you can fold something in half and get the same result on both sides. Here is what I have been working on. The School Values.

Today I did a chart of all the values in our school. I did four examples of each value, it was difficult to think of the last one on Be There, but I got there in the end. I thought this was really fun, doing what we think the values mean, but now, I would like you to see my work.

Kiwi Can.

Kia ora everyone! Today in Kiwi Can we did this game called River Run, and me and my friend, Kirsty, we made a google drawing about what we did today. Here is what we made.

My Easter Weekend.

My Easter Weekend Two Truths and One Lie.

 It was Easter weekend, Yay! I was happy it’s Easter, But, I missed school. It was still fun though! On Easter I went to a bike park like we were the car on the roads. We bought a camera with us to the bike park and we stayed for about one hour.

 Then we made cupcakes and they were yummy, they had chocolate icing on the vanilla cupcakes, Yummy! Me and my sister helped my mum bake the delicious cupcakes and the icing.

 Then on Monday it was my cat’s birthday, he was turning one! This was his first birthday! When we first saw him he was so cute! And so small! He is so much bigger now, a lot cuter and fuzzer.
